This was our first time trying Nicaraguan food and we were impressed. The service was friendly and the servers greet you in Spanish. We enjoyed our food here, and we couldn’t finish everything as the main dishes were fairly big. Next time, we will do different appetizers so we can try more items on the menu. The polo jalapeño plate is cooked with coconut milk, which was delicious, but we expected it to be a bit more spicy. This dish wasn’t spicy at all considering that it’s supposed to come with jalapeños. We loved the mixed seafood ceviches. Beef Churrasco could have been a bit better as I’ve tried this type of dish before. Also, vegetables on this plate were very plain. Overall a great experience. Thank you ☺️

When me and my partner craves home cooked latin food, this is one of our favorite places. Our go-to dishes are the chicken and carne asadas plato typico. The tostones and avacado salsa compliments with the meats well. I personally like their version of picanté salsa that has a spicy and vinegar kick that cuts into the rich savory plate, which I drizzle onto my carne asadas with every bite.To tie everything together, fresco de cacoa is a must when we eat. It completes the experience of eating at home.We continue to go back and make it our mission to try all their dishes.

Hidden gem and must try! The fried fish was tasty, it takes approximately 40mins to prepare so order in advance. the Tacos had a BBQ sauce on top which gives it a more sweet bite rather than savory which I would order again without the sauce next time. Open for in store dining.

Made a reservation and was glad I did, since the place was packed on a Friday night! I got the carne asada as my main and added the fried cheese. For the appetizer we got the fish ceviche and mussels. I've never had such tender mussels!! It was cooked so deliciously, we didn't waste a drop of the sauce and soaked it up with bread. The carne asada was not tough and had a good chew, but could've used more flavour. The ceviche was too sour for my liking. Everything was fresh and came piping hot. Only thing I wished was for a little more considerate service, after we paid we stayed a little longer to chat but they stopped serving us water. Although the staff are very friendly and didn't rush us to leave I still had a great time.

I love this place. A local brought me here 3 years ago when I moved to Toronto. It’s a small, cozy restaurant with lots of great food options and amazing cocktails. I eat here once in a while and enjoy the experience everytime.

The Carne asada was very good. Very cozy and friendly restaurant. I enjoyed it. The staff were also very sweet and accommodating. Food came out a little slow. They returned our tip without asking after we ripped even though it was included because of the larger group.

For the price not worth it. Food was bland no seasoning I got the carne asada, could have made better at home. But the icing on the cake was the waitress, pretty sure she was on something and it was not that green. She never checked on our table once. Spent most of the time sitting in the bar on her phone I’m sorry but when the restaurant is empty and we are your only customers I expect better service. Don’t waste your time coming here go to one of the of the local Taco Trucks instead. Better service and better food. Will never be back to this restaurant.

We went earlier this year while we were next door at Menace. My wife and mother in law are Mexican and were hoping this new place would be decent. From their menu I ordered the chilaquiles. Firstly, the front desk girl couldn't find it in her system at all. I had to show her the menu to prove it was there. They had to call someone in from the kitchen to figure out what to do. They had to ring it up as something else. I don't remember what my wife and MIL got, but I know that whatever I got wasn't remotely resembling chilaquiles. They barely even qualified as nachos. It was plain flour tortilla chips with green sauce and sour cream poured on top, and hunks of scrambled eggs. I don't know what that would be, but it's not chilaquiles. My wife and MIL were likewise astonished at what they got, in a bad way.The menu nearly has as much American food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and french fries as it does anything Mexican or Latin at all. It doesn't inspire confidence, and the food settles the deal.As the restaurant is really a Salvadorean restaurant, not a Mexican restaurant, perhaps they do Salvadorean food well. In which case they should stop pretending to be something other than that.

Stopped in to try this place. First off, lights at grocery store brightness and blowing cool air on a chilly evening do not make for good atmosphere. Decided to stick with Mexican offerings instead of the other Central American ones to gauge quality. Overall, underwhelming fare. I ordered a ground beef tostada and a taco. Both were so bland, with no discernible seasoning. Even my avocado tasted a bit past its prime. My wife ordered enchiladas mole and it too lacked flavor, depth, or heat. Honestly, I make better tacos at home.Considering several awesome Mexican places already in town, I don’t see a reason to return here.
