What a bastion of culture. It’s very rare to find an old restaurant that has been kept so pristine. The art and decor or beautiful. The food is filling and unique. If you want to try something different definitely try this place when downriver,

Always really wonderful, freshly made pierogi, as well as the crepes and schnitzel meals are just to die for. I've ordered direct a couple of times, and picked up in stores a few more times. Add a family tray of pierogi to any family dinner or potluck and you won't be sad you did!

Ate here on our weekend trip to Niagara Falls. The food is delicious, the service is wonderful, we had the whole restaurant to ourselves, and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. All the food is handmade, organic and locally grown, and they cater to Vegetarian and Vegan diets. If you're looking for some authentic European cuisine this is the place to go.

As an Hungarian-American who now lives in Toronto, I can honestly say it's a blessing that if I'm craving Hungarian foods, I can actually go somewhere to get it rather than cook it myself (sometimes you know, we just don't want to cook after a long day!). The food here is authentic, delicious, and comes in huge portions (if that's your thing). The service is always friendly and I'm assuming that if one goes and doesn't really know Hungarian food, they'd be knowledgeable as well to walk you through the menu. Go there and make sure to get the langos!

Really like the new location and it’s right on Danforth so there’s lots of parking nearby. The platter was amazing as usual and I think even better than I remembered. The fries were so crispy and tender in the middle. The schnitzels were very flavourful and not dry at all. Cabbage rolls were a great way to start any meal! Lots of seating that is clearly well spaced from each other

The best Hungarian restaurant in Toronto. The food is authentic, delicious and fresh. The schnitzel, red cabbage and home fried potatoes were delicious, with generous portions. I especially loved the cottage cheese crepe (palacsinta) for dessert.Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Hungarian comfort food.

This place was great had the breaded pork chops and opted for two sides of dumplings versus the red skins or traditional mashed potatoes and veggies was a side offered but outta respect for just doing a high carb that was not an option I wanted. My fiancé did the chicken parizi with two sides of mashed potatoes it looked done to perfection way entree came with with a tossed salad which my fiancé upgraded to the cucumber salad which was delicious and you got bread that looked fresh and yummy. Her potatoes had gravy and so did my dumplings it was full of flavor and I enjoyed it. I was on a mission for us to sample a dessert I opted for the chocolate torte cake and she had the vanilla cake she said hers was decent but a tad dry mine was pretty good it came plated whip whip cream and chocolate sauce next time I plan on trying the apricot crepes. The service was outstanding young guy rl name Julia was our server and was very patient answering my many questions and always made sure everything was okay Top notch server and very polite with a good vocabulary did not say not a problem once. So I am by far a critic of Hungarian cuisine but one think I do know is that everything seemed to be made scratch which is what I crave the most but the food seemed simple and authentic just what I prefer I will return for a steak Budapest soon I would recommend this establishment who is searching for homemade comfort food ,huge portions and very reasonable prices.

There are many things to like about the place: the food, the theming, and the service.We wanted to sample many dishes that are close to authentic as possible, so we ended up ordering the Budapest-platter ($44.95) for two. In the platter, you get 2 sides, a porkchop, 2 slices of Debreceni sausages, 2 types of Schnitzel, and a cabbage roll. There was a good variety of food present in the platter as well as very generous portions. It was listed as good for 2 people, but I believe it can be spread out to even accommodate 3 people.There was a good amount of thought put into the interior's theming. Laminated pictures of sights and attractions of Budapest, Hungary were present at the table to give a good perspective and insight into Hungarian culture.Lastly, I have no complaints, and have only praises to the service we received while dining here. We were attended to dutifully, and we had the best of time dining.

Good wholesome food. The owner/cook/waitress made us feel like we were at a friends home sharing a meal and conversation.

we love the Chimney Apple pie. The only negative part is that there is no more chocolate at the end of the ice cream. they traded it for a marshmallow, it didn't look good.
