The only reason this is a 4 is because of the wait times, but honestly, in this day and age that's expected with how busy the health care service is here now. I've been having some health issues and I had a bad scare this morning which led me to ER after talking to a nurse over 811. ALL the staff were lovely, nice, and caring, from the triage nurses to the lovely doctor I ended up seeing later, I had everything I had to say listened to and checked out, and left feeling much better about my situation than I had been for weeks now. Not that I'm out of the woods yet, but my experience here was all positive! Thanks to all the lovely staff for making my time there as worryless as possible <3

After sitting for 3 hours waiting to get an x-ray bc the previous one done looked like a crack in my hip & they called the next day asking me to come in to re-x-ray my hip. I was told I wouldn't have to wait & all I needed to do was report to ED & they would sent me to X-Ray Department. Yet that's not what happened, I waited 3 hrs in pain as I have other medical problems & severe chronic disease & pain. I asked when would I be sent? The nurse picked up the phone asking if they do that, the answer must have been yes. My name was called another nurse took my vitals & asked why I was there. Again, I told her & asked when would I be going to x-ray. Then she said well there is a wait out there & you'll have to wait to be called

I don’t understand of waiting for hours in the emergence room. If there is no doctor, get a new doctors, if there is no nurse, get nurses. If there is a problem with your system, fix it please.

Will post as a question. When I fell and went to emergency via ambulance and told emergency doctor that i fell foward with arm extended and palm of hand it which was fully open hits concrete floor first and my arms buckles and I roll onto my shoulder. What do you as a doctor treat. I also tell doctor have cut on hand.Does doctor look at entire arm including hand, just hands, just lower arm or just upper arm?

Parking is a nightmare here! Had an appointment in outpatient clinics and had to park somewhere else. This hospital needs more parking for the amount of people that come through here

Uncomfortable place, they deal with objects and documents, not humans. Increasing my pain by waiting too long in Uncomfortable place. Using simple tools and subjective questionnaire to make initial assessments. unfortunately this is the case in most of the Canadian hospitals.. it's a broken system that will not be fixed any time soon.. this is from a patient and a UHN staff

I wish that I could give it 0 stars. My brother of 13 years old sprained his ankle. We waited a whole day (More than 25hours) and spent the night in the hospital. The man behind us was there for one day and a half and still hasn’t received his treatment. The employees kept telling me to wait just a little longer since there was three patients in front of him. But hours later there still wasn’t any doctor available. We had to go to another hospital. I’m never going back there.

This is the worst ER we have ever been to. The staff members lack the basic respect and compassion for patients, even for a sick kid. It's also hard to believe that in the 21st century, a patient HAS to wait for the doctor's call to access the medical records. Even my 3-year-old daughter told me that she disliked the hospital and wanted to move. Such a pity that this is the only ER nearby.

I went to the emergency department around 2am today. When I arrived there was only patient before me and by the time I reported and checked up my bp, I was the only one patient over there. I waited till 3:45am and for the whole time I was the only one patient. I am providing you the scenario so that you could understand what my concern is. So the whole time no new patient reported for treatment and no waiting patients before me. You can talk about manpower shortages for so many other situations but what could be the excuse this time? At least I didn’t get it. I tried to think all other possibilities but during this 1 hour 45 minutes ( you might think it is very short waiting time but please consider that I was the only person they had to deal with and after that time I just left) no one even came for blood work. So what do you think? If there were 20 patients arrived at that precise time period, all of those patients had to wait without being provided any medical attention? Is this our medical system now? Or this is just an excuse. What I have encountered, I believe there was necessarily no reason they could use as manpower shortage. They only answer I am convinced is that they are using overused and already believed excuses in public mind to justify their laziness or unwillingness. I don’t know the proper way to ask for investigation into this situation but I would like to inform the higher authority that they should investigate the authenticity of regular high waiting line.

Worst experience ever! I was there yesterday from noon until 5pm. There were not many people waiting during this time. The nurse Tiffany that was working at the front desk in Care centre D was very rude and unprofessional. I understand that the ER is always busy however for someone waiting 15 min to ask a nurse that works at the desk of the ER department for medicine is hard to believe. I had to ask someone else then I got pain medicine. Very unprofessional for a nurse to treat a patient this way. I never expected this treatment here in Canada whatsoever. Finishing off the ENT doctor came at the end for 10 min used the nasal endoscopy, let me bleed as a result of not using the device lightly and said everything is good then left. It looks like not every doctor is qualified to use this device
