Vocal instructor

We have been with the Georgetown Academy of Music for 1.5 yrs and it has been a great experience for our daughter. She plays the ukulele. Her music teacher, Anthony has been wonderful! We also really enjoy the recitals!

Latest review (2020)----------------------------------It was very refreshing to join Diana's vocal workshops, as it has been a long while since I was a full time student. I was able to rekindle and remember many important lessons throughout the workshop; and I got my voice back and also my confidence again. I also got to make some new friends in the workshop as well.Diana has always had the amazing ability to diagnose where the vocal challenges are in each singer and then helps produce the solution right on the spot. She gives it her 100% all and will not give up on each student until they produce the result - all in a healthy, fun and holistic way.Her technique is not just a singing or vocal technique; it is a philosophy, a science and applied action combined into one. I always re-discover this whenever I take her workshops. Joe Borowsky is an incredibly talented singer/songwriter/teacher/mentor, and has been my daughter’s voice and guitar coach for the past few years. He strives to make everyone feel comfortable, and helps to nurture and develop individual talent and creativity. Joe has the voice of an angel, and we could listen to him sing all day! Gino Quilico’s singing class is one of the most amazing things that I’ve ever experienced. I’ve learned so many useful lessons about both singing and performance on stage. He is very friendly and learning from him is absolutely enjoyable. I recommend his classes to professional singers as well as beginners.

Erin is an absolutely phenomenal singing teacher! I was a complete beginner starting out, but Erin made me feel comfortable with my voice from the get-go. I’ve seen and felt so much improvement in the 11 months I’ve been working with her, and she has been nothing but supportive and encouraging throughout.Not only is she very passionate about singing, but she also has a deep understanding of the mechanics and theory behind singing well and is able to easily explain why I might be struggling with something and how I can work towards fixing it. Erin is such a delight to work with, and I always have SO much fun during the lessons! :)

Participating in the AJMS community, through lessons and camps, has become an integral part of our lives. The positive guidance that the teachers have consistently provided, has allowed us to develop into our own family band!!

After 3 years at perfect harmony my 7 year old son can figure out many of his favorite songs - by listening to them and play them on Piano by using chords and melody. The ear training component of this school is very valuable.

Highly recommended. My son has taken piano lesson here for a few years now, he also started taking drum lesson a couple years ago. It’s an excellent facility and fantastic teachers! The teachers care about him and connect with him, and he enjoys being there every week. Some words from my son, “the School of Music is a very welcome and friendly place, … ... My piano teacher is very talented, she inspired me to keep playing piano, to enjoy and to treasure it, … ... my drum teacher is very kind and encourages us to play drums in pursuit of our dream.”

Dustin is such an amazing vocal coach! He shows nothing but love and enthusiasm for everything he does. His critiques are spot on and he's always trying to pull the best out of every student. Plus, he is just so fun to be around! Highly recommend!
