We decided to veer off our path to the Labrador ferry to stop in, and we did not regret it. At the door was Adrian, who was clearly a passionate and knowledgeable member of their staff who took 5 minutes to go through the site map with us and impart some of his knowledge, which was super helpful going forward at the site. The site itself was desolate, and rugged -- in a beautiful way, of course. Caribou roam the coastline and one came right up to the window while we were inside the interpretation centre! The history and significance of the site was fascinating and I spent time doing some follow-up reading in the days that followed.Highly recommend adding it to your list as you head up or down the peninsula.

Everyone on staff was extremely kind and didn't even seem like staff, more like someone sharing a genuine interest they have with you. Everyone was smiling and laughing with eachother, it was a wonderful afternoon!

Had a great visit to the Quebec City Aquarium with the family. Great assortment of animals and very kid friendly. Does not take too long to tour the facility. Staff were very friendly and bi-lingual.

Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre
Beautiful Museum, the clerks are very kind people. The past is very sad but is important for us to learn about it so we can avoid to repeat it. There is a bookstore inside, they offer free books but you can also worship by buying some of them.

Very informative about the history of the area. Most plaques are in French, but a fully translated guide is included with admission at the front desk.A great collection of artifacts.

Eureka! The National Children's Museum
Had a children's play date here on Sunday the 19th and all the kids loved it! We had with us the age range of 1-7 years and each child thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The pretend play sections were where the kids had the most fun they didn't want to move on to the next! There is a cafe inside which is nice and clean with a gift shop just next to it. We had brought our own packed lunch but the hot chocolate and cupcakes from the cafe were very nice. I would recommend spending at least 3-4 hours here as I did misjudge so had to rush at the end abit but the children were tired by then anyway from running about, but if you are wanting to take it easy then I advise spending slightly longer here. There is also a sandpit outside which would be perfect for the summer days. Overall a good day out with the kids, would definitely return in the summer and would recommend anyone with little ones to visit.

Even during half season, it's still amazing to visit. Just the sheer size of it is amazing. Wondering around you get a good feeling of what a settlement would have looked like. Not all buildings were open, those that were, had great things to tell and show. Some Interpretators had lot's of stories to tell and I loved being able to ask them questions. Plus, bring your binoculars, the views are stunning!
