Group home

I've been a foster parent for Hatts Off for over 20 years now. I've seen Hatts Off grow as a company and personally feel that the services they provide to our youth in need is fantastic. Many children have needed our home as a safe place to land till a permanent plan can be put in place. Our home has always been well support by the Hatts Off team . Any concerns brought to Hatts Off by myself or my partner have always been addressed quickly and in a professional manner.Some of the children that require our assistance have a lot going on mentally, emotionally, and sometimes physically. It's not always an easy job however, the reward of seeing a child flourish in the environment provided by us and supported by Hatts Off makes it a job we love doing.I wanted to write a review from a foster home perspective because all I see are group home reviews.If you are reading this and are thinking of becoming a Foster Parent......consider Hatts Off I'm glad I did!

The Management Staff meaning Mentor and higher at the Company is never around and is down right awful. They don't take care of your needs really ever, they are just in it for money. They could care less about us clients, we are just pay cheques to them. The staff that work at my house on the other hand are amazing staff to have around they actually care for you and treat you like humans not like garbage. If anyone needs to move out of their group home to a new home or is going into care I highly recommend a different company other then Hatts Off Inc. The Staff at my house do way more then The Mentor and Higher Put together.

If I could give 10 stars to this company, I would. I am proud to be a part of a company with such credibility and ethics.

0 STAR...I worked at Pioneer Youth for a very short time. When I accepted the job I was very excited as I thought this would be my career job. Staff was friendly towards other staff and proper training was given. However, my shift that I was called in for was terrible. It first started off with an email 5 days prior to the shift to see if I was available. With a quick email back I was clarifying if it was AM or PM and that I would love to work the shift. No response. After 4 days and about 5 emails and 2 phone calls I finally get a response. I show up for my shift and they ended up covering it already and I was no longer needed. However, they told me I could stay. Throughout the night the staff was friendly and helping me out when needed as this was my first shift. But I noticed the staff members were very rude to the children/teenagers with autism and other disabilities. The staff members were pushing the children and making fun of the children trying to get a negative behaviour out of them. I told staff that it was very wrong and unprofessional of them to do such thing to the children, especially when they were not having behaviours and were content. Staff told me if I didn't like it I was more then welcome to leave. I left immediately and resigned the following day.

Take out for dinner party. Staff super friendly. Owner is attentive and friendly. Best corn beef and smoked meat I’ve had in a long time. Meat cut to order, medium, lean, they aim to please.
