Tempura restaurant

Owner is incredibly rude. I called for another order and he told me I had had enough and that he wasn't going to make me anymore food. Owner said I was inconsiderate because he wanted to relax and I kept asking him to make food. The quality is not very high either which ultimately matters most. The sunomono is cheap, the chef spends too much time flowering carrots and not enough time not knowing the difference between baby shrimp and lobster tail. The noodles are way to thick and the sweet vinegar is stale somehow. The fish is definitely not up to sushi standards, it tastes bland and freezer burnt. I ordered the salmon sashimi and the portion for the price is a bad joke sushi 9 will give you twice as much for the same price and it will actually be cut properly which it wasn't here. Gomae was okay though. The prices are way too high considering you have to be your own waiter. No tea or water is offered you have to get it yourself and the table when I walked in was still covered in dishes from the last customer. Total dive do not recommend. To the owner, if you don't want to run a sushi restaurant then don't, hire a chef and retire because you shouldn't be anywhere near the front of house.

Some of the best customer service I've ever had. They are always so friendly and they are always sure to greet you when you come in and say thank you when you leave. I've been able to make alterations to my meal and they will make them form me without a fuss. I'm a regular here and even before I started going here. If I ordered off doordash or skip the dishes the food would be as equally as good.

First time here and had an excellent all-you-can-eat experience!The lamb skewers and mango puddings are my favorite.

I liked everything about this place. Delicious tempura with noodles/rice and many side dishes. The service was fast and friendly as well.Having been to Japan, this is close to their fast-food version of tendon and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that :) would come again.

Perhaps I came on a bad day, but the service was not up to par for such a high end restaurant. As you may have read from other reviews, the restaurant is split into two, serving both sushi and tempura omakase during the same time slots. There was only one server assisting both sides. Understandably there is a staff shortage due to the pandemic, but I felt that the attitude of the server was not very welcoming. She was always in a rush and there were instances where she came off as rude.I tried the sushi omakase, and it was alright, was not blown away or impressed by anything. Most nigiri pieces were overpowered by wasabi. Home-made soup tasted very watery. Was disappointed by the ikura. Usually this is paired with another fish, I’ve seen it being paired with Kani and Uni in the past, but on this day we just got shredded cucumbers. The chef didn’t really explain each piece or answer any questions customers had. He was very focused on making each dish. I don’t think his English is very good, which is fine. However what baffled me was how there was a couple that evidently never had omakase, and they were never explained the process. The chef kept looking over at how things were being eaten wrong, but never notified the server to come over and explain. Other customers had to step in, which I can only imagine took away from their experience.Overall the omakase experience was pretty mediocre and underwhelming. I’m glad I got to check Edomae off my list, but I don’t think it was worth the $148 price tag.

If I could give the service sero stars I would. The waiter was extremely rude. We were tourists and just wanted a quick bite, but he seemed mad at us for not knowing their buffet hours. He then found it hard to take down our order which was just two dishes and made me write it down myself after getting mad at us again. While I understand he was the only server there it was our first meal in the city and it made the entire experience quite bad. The food was mediocre, would have probably gone again if not for the service.

This place is my recent favourite!! I just love their broccoli sushi! Everything is vegan here.. Must try for all vegetarians or vegans.

I absolutely love this place, it's the best restaurant in town! Do yourself a favour and get the creamy citrus shrimp (so long as your dietary needs allow)!Anything to do with spicy tuna is also so good you'll forget what other food tastes like. I love the volcano roll the best!

They make the best Takoyaki! Staff are friendly especially Randy.

The food is beautiful, fresh and tastes amazing! Definitely our favorite spot in Drumheller! I highly recommend you eat here!
