We went to see a band a few weekends ago. The music was good. They make strong drinks. The interior was dark and definitely needs updating, but overall a nice evening

Expensive carnival rides. Check. Expensive carny games ($5 for two balls). Check. Food trucks. Check and Check again. Nothing else to do. Check. There was a bird barn with some chickens, ducks and pigeons. Interesting for 10 minutes. The cow barn was way on the other side. Nobody was walking there. The Homecrafts were poorly diplayed. There were a handful of vendors. Example Tupperware table. Felt sorry for them. Now a main attraction - the Demolition Derby. Stadium was full. Seats were hard metal (bring something soft to sit on) No back support. Start time 7pm. So far, so good. Little after 7pm, the water truck starts spreading water on the field of battle for about 20 minutes. That's exciting? Then they call in all the drivers for a meeting" for 30 minutes. That's exciting? They had one tractor able to pickup busted cars and clear them off. By 9pm they had 2 races completed

Fairly small for a small town. Limited number of rides for kids. Repetition on same rides became boring. Food hugely expensive, especially at Sammy's truck. $2.85 for any bottle drink. Two cheeseburgers a Falafel on a pita and three drinks$35. Unbelievable.Upfront of that the website for the fair included no address or location information. Driving into Aylmer a banner across Main Street and again not a sign anywhere. Stopped and ask the local where the fair was she said go up John Street North to the fairgrounds. Guess what, no Fairgrounds up north on John Street. Back down I see the Aylmer police station. I figure they should know. They tell me go east on Talbot South on Victoria and you'll find it there. Bottom of Victoria I see no fair no signs but a driveway into somebody's personal property. Luckily I decided to Drive East and found a a sign that said parking to my left and oh my God there was in a field behind some houses hoof difficult to find. Speaking later to one of the ride operators who drove in from London , he said he had the same problem finding the fair and he works for them.

Hoping for a better fair then last year with better seating for the musical performances they are going to have. Last year we had to sit pretty much in the walk way to see the great band they had. And more rides! Fingers crossed!

Do not recommend. Poor business practice when it comes to dealing with vendors and small businesses. Based on Facebook page traffic, which is the only website available, does not look like these events are well organized or well attended. As a potential vendor, be aware. If I could post no stars, I would.

We were there for a weekend of vintage motorcycles. The facilities are good for this purpose. The grounds could benefit from a proper PA system and better bathrooms/showers

Buildings were excellent display. Flowers and veggies in Hastings County obviously didn't suffer any from the heat of this past summer! Security and the presence of police seemed a bit shy with so many people on Friday evening.

I've never seen so many types of butter tarts or displays with butter tarts in my life. Loved that there were gluten free tarts available at many booths. Front gate was really disorganized. Students not properly trained. Nowhere to vote for best butter tart. We asked at the gate as several vendors asked us to vote for them before leaving and no one seemed to know where to do this and no signs were posted. Next year more organization is necessary.

everything there was overpriced... from the gate admission to the ride tickets. food costs for a family of four with the limited choices and not having items on their posted menus was more than frustrating. .. seating .. and designated places to eat were nonexistent.. .. not very family friendly but the big one there is no changing stations for the little ones ... vendor space was highly under utilized.. with a very limited scope of things to hold your interest.... The reptile portion was pretty cool for the kids , Friendly people in the prize portion of the building with informative answers kept the little ones occupied.... .. I suggest the fair board .. band together and get their collective heads out of the sand and reevaluate what it is they should be doing to make a better and all inclusive venue for entrie family enjoyment ...
