Take the self defense and empowerment course, I PROMISE you, you won't be disappointed. Empowerment Inc is such an amazing company with a goal that all people should strive for: empowerment. I was a little nervous going in to the self defense course, but Shelley and Lynn made it a safe and welcoming space for all involved. You will learn so much on how to keep yourself safe and even more about how to achieve the goals that you want to achieve. 5/5 Definitely recommend!

Aventa Centre of Excellence for Women with Addictions
Aventa helped save my life! The staff were very compassionate, caring, and empathetic. As a professional in the addiction field, the counsellors showed me how to be a good counsellor. The program taught me so much. I will be forever grateful to Aventa for the dedication in helping the suffering addict/ alcoholic. Thank you for your guidance on my life.

Native Women's Centre
Called the center and was faced by a couple of rude women. Couldn’t wait to rush me off the phone even though I was calling for my grandmother with mobility issues, quick to pass off to the next person. There’s social workers who do this job to help people but these are here for the money and should find a different career. I believe a new director should be considered if this is the treatment people in crisis are faced with.
