Fish and chips takeaway

Highly underrated, personally this is a hidden gem in the heart of Thorold downtown.I am allergic to fish, however the fries are cooked in a separate fryer. The chicken is cut from the skewer then grilled to perfection, throw in some cheese and gravy in addition to their house made garlic sauce, you have a perfect combination for a heart-warming shawarma poutine. I highly recommend trying it. Their falafel wrap and shawarma wrap were also amazing, everything is cooked fresh to order, your food is not stale. Will be coming back more often.

Best burger ever and friendly service.

Best fish and chips around. Chips are not fries, like most other places in Nanaimo. Proper, British-style chips. Lovely and crispy too. Five different kinds of fish to choose from, including Cod, Salmon and Halibut. Batter is beautifully seasoned and nice and light. Comes with tartare sauce and coleslaw. Will be back many times.

Me and my Brother had Fish & Chips and my Dad had Pan Fried Haddock. It was all delicious. Thank you for serving us!

We came to have dinner by the water and had heard that they had one of the best burgers in town. We were disappointed! The burger and fries were just okay. It’s a shame, because we are planning to do this weekly, however next time we’ll bring our meal with us.The staff though, are great! Friendly and helpful.

Great food, quiet atmosphere, beautiful place!

Eaten take-out here twice. Both times ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Not the best I've had, but very good. Courteous staff. The restaurant however, isn't the cleanest looking. I'm sure it's meets Health standards, but would be nicer if it looked a little cleaner. Still, 4 stars.

I'm giving this restaurant a 2 star rating. The 2 stars are for the excellent service we received from the young man & young girl we had last nite! The fries were absolutely disgusting. Not at all edible! They used to be good. Even after mentioning they were not cook enough & receiving ones that were cooked longer, they still tasted gross. 4 other tables complained about the chips while we were there also! You would hope a establishment that claims they have the best fish & chips , would at the very least have edible chips!! C- lovers needs to do better.

This was my second attempt for good food here and sadly it will be our last. The fries were undercooked, mac n’ cheese was cold when served, fish tacos lacked flavour with just one topping and the meat in the noodle bowl was cold so made the whole dish taste odd. Condiment lids on the table were all sticky and basically empty so felt like it was old. The only upside to our experience was that the waitress was nice..
