I'm a full atheist (I ended up going a few times with a family friend), but this is the type of church I'm more than ok with. If every church was like this, religion wouldn't pose any problems to societyExtremely progressive outlook: e.g. they have a library of social justice books, and sermon topics have included things like overcoming white fragility, the fight to end poverty, and the need for Christian solidarity" in the face of rising fascism...alongside more mundane but relevant and useful topics like nutrition.Posters and brochures everywhere focus on things like initiatives to end poverty and inequality

United Church of Christ
A very special church where the people are compassionate and welcoming. The pastor is down-to-earth and embraces diversity within her congregation. She understands kids, teens, elders, and everyone in between, practicing a very loving and wise leadership. This is not a church characterized by lectures or scaring tactics. It sets a tone of love and acceptance. My mom has attended for years now. She comments that everyone supports each other. As she has gotten older, I notice that the people in church are patient and looking out for her well-being. It was a huge help to have online services during Covid.

My family has started to rent the hall for their kids to have their birthday party at. I wish my parents would have thought of this idea when I was little! You can have so many people there! The best part is if you get cake on the furniture plastic cleans very easily! :) Thank you for letting our little ones run wild in a safe environment!!
