New Japanese Hotpot spot that opened up in Willowdale. The meat quality was so fresh and servers were very attentive. Highly recommend. P.S. - Sukiyaki and Kabocha broths were the best!

Hotpot Palace
One of the freshest hot pot place in Richmond and they just released a lunch menu as of Mar 5 2023.1) It is super affordable. Their hot pot set starts off at $27.80 and it comes with soup, meat, assorted veggies, noodles and dipping sauce (no extra charge). And if you want extra meat, you can get $6.99 for a plate of Beef Short Plate. Their meat is super high quality, especially their Wagyu.2) UNLIMITED HANDMADE NOODLE/RICE. YES THEY HAVE UNLIMITED NOODLE OR RICE. AND IT GOES GREAT WITH THEIR BROTH.3) Great selections from soup to sauce to meat. Thet have an amazing selection of free soup broth like Chicken Broth, Spicy Broth, Tom Yum, Tomato and much more. You can pay a bit extra for their delicious Lobster Bisque soup. And their sauce bar is super well organized and there is free edamame, wood ear fungus and peanuts. And for meat, they have beef, pork, lamb, Wagyu and even A5 Wagyu

Sukiyaki House
Very attentive service. Food was good. I ordered the Waldorf salad, the Spicy Prawn (tempura) and Chirashi. The spicy prawn tempura was not what I was expecting but tasty nonetheless. The most memorable part of the Chirashi was those red prawns - might be Argentinian red prawns & the wild Atlantic salmon.

As you can expect from Gyubee's sister hotpot restaurant, this place has incredible service and food. Food was coming out before I finished placing the order. Our waitress Mia was very attentive and made a lot of great suggestions for us! Would recommend paying the $2 more for two kinds of broth for variety. Value for money is great too - we came on a Saturday night and got two broths and it was just under $50 a person.I would recommend adding your name to the Yelp waiting list early. I put us on the list at 4:50pm and we were seated around 7:45pm.Update: Service is still as good as ever, but the price has definitely gone up here. While it was once under $50 a person just 6 months ago on a Saturday night, it cost us more than $50 for a Sunday lunch today.

Came here with family for Father's Day. I never had Hot Pot before so I was excited to try it. The wait time was quite long - we were waiting in line for almost 2 hrs during lunch. We tried the Sukiyaki Soup and Golden Ox Bone Soup - my personal preference is Sukiyaki. The quality of meats is excellent with a wide variety of meats like brisket, lamb, beef, seafood and fish. The quality and variety of vegetables was jsut as incredible. Soup bases were very good, however note that they are extra in addition to all you can eat price.Besides the long wait time, the only other downside to this restaurant is that when you want to order, you have to flag down your server, whereas lots of other Asian restaurants use a tablet. However, the service was incredible. The servers were attentive and would refill the soup bases when our pots were low.Overall, I would definitely try hot pot again. I might try other Hot Pot restaurants to get a feel for others, but Daimaru was a great first time.

Excellent wine tasting and donburi experience! Hotpot Palace is known for their luxurious hot pot and dining experience, but now there's another reason to visit. As part of the Summerhill Wine Series Tasting" you can now enjoy 5 selected organic wines from Summerhill Pyramid Winery (Kelowna) and 5 gourmet tapas. Original price is $60/guest but it's currently 25% off. You can also purchase any of your favourite wines to take home. The Fresh-Out-the-Grill Meat Donburi is another fantastic menu and I recommend you try one when you visit. The Bowls are loaded with fresh ingredients and delicious! I loved my "Grilled Angus Short Rib & Ikura Donburi" ($29.50) and "Kabayaki Eel & Tamago Donburi" ($26.95). Currently

Came here with friends for dinner! I really enjoyed the atmosphere! Wait is quite long- I think we queued for about 2 hours during dinner time. I don’t really think it was that worth the wait, it was decent although I wouldn’t consider it anything extremely special. I think the meat quality is not bad and the soup is pretty good though. Service is standard. Spicy soup tasted too oily so it was difficult to eat any vegetables that were submerged into it- i also kind of wish it was spicier. Sukiyaki was not bad, definitely very sweet but still appreciated it! Overall, would maybe come back in the future! Wouldn’t necessarily recommend but I think it’s a good hotpot place out of a lot that we have in Toronto/GTA.
