The Michelin Guide knows very well why they included this place in their list, and rightly so. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was delicious, the flavors were perfected, the waffle fries tasted amazing, had a great color and were crispy. However, this place is not very nice, crates with buns were in the middle of the restaurant, it looks like you are sitting there during the renovation. Staff was not in a very good mood either.

I usually get the fried chicken and had tried some of the sides such as the coleslaw, mashed potatoes, hush puppies, pinto beans and buttermilk biscuit. Today, I decided to try the big nasty. It was so good and it did not disappoint. The service staff are friendly as usual and it was a pleasant dinning experience.

So good I came back 5 years later for seconds. Amazing fried chicken Appalachian-style, sides to die for and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you're a local and haven't been, you have to try it. If you're visiting, make sure it's a stop 'cause you'll rave about it for years like I did.

SO GOOD!.. our family shared gator bites, hush puppies, coconut shrimp to start! All were amazing! I had the chicken fingers!.. BEST EVER!… the fresh battered everything is awesome!.. skinny fries and onion rings are delicious !!!….. GREAT VALUE !… we will be back!!!!!

Seat yourself but order from the counter. No one checked if the orders were correct. My special order specs were not followed but we’d waited long enough and I didn’t want to hold up the group. The bbq that one of us ordered was apparently very good. My burger was a touch dry and the Mac and cheese was surprisingly sweet?

Chris Jerk is a high-traffic, up tempo Caribbean food takeout that emphasizes Jerk cuisine. The eatery’s decor is immediately inviting as is the options on the menu.Food is served in one size with the option to order an extra side in a smaller container. Chris himself is on the food line making sure that meals are packaged and served to customers with ultimate attention.I ordered the Jerk BAR-B-Q Tenders with rice and peas and coleslaw. Bae and our guest ordered Jerk Chicken with salad (which is carrots and broccoli).Overall the chicken is well cooked and succulent. Chris and team used fresh ingredients and herbs which made the meat, rice and coleslaw pop.If you are a Jerk traditionalist, this may not be for you as the Jerk dishes are not prepared in a Jerk Drum. Jerk seasoning is added to the chicken; also, this location is not a Bistro (there is no space to sit indoors or outdoors as with a traditional Bistro), rather it is a takeout.Chris Jerk has a variety of beverages to compliment your meal. He has a selection of house beverages and I recommend his Seamoss beverage.The staff is knowledgeable and accurate making sure to get your order right. You will experience a longer than usual wait time so enjoy music from the Caribbean and make friends with other customers!There is ample parking available to customers in the shared plaza and signage of the eatery is very clear so you won’t miss this spot (see photos attached).Overall, I love the food presentation, beverages and staff … if they add a Jerk Drum I would love that! They are open 11am to 8pm!

The sandwich was a bit too oily: should leave the chicken on rack longer before serving. Otherwise everything is great.The Nashville chicken sandwich was top notch. Lots of flavors that complemented eachother. Medium spice was just right. The chicken sandwich had two dark chicken strips/pieces. The fries were good too.Service was awesome. Very friendly. Clean place, including the uniquely decorated washrooms.Top chicken sandwiches of Toronto.

I tried the Penny’s Classic sandwich with the Hot spice level and it was scrumptious and not hot for me! It was my first time trying Nashville hot chicken style and I enjoyed it a lot! In addition, I had the loaded fries which were very tasty. The servings for both the sandwich and loaded fries are also pretty big.

Ordered the sandwich plate (Sweet Daisy, 1 side, 1 sauce) and loved it! The sandwich was sweet and delicious, although quite messy to bite into. Highly, highly recommend the waffle fries which were super fresh and crispy. The atmosphere was a bit crowded, but the price was reasonable at around ~ $17. Highly recommend!
