ACCESS Winnipeg West
Horrible experience. The PC Government keeps telling us to go to walk in clinics for non emergencies to free up wait time. This is a head scratcher because I waited for approx 5 hours at this Access and finally walked out. Emergency would have been quicker.

I was left a voice mail by my dietician that I was referred to. I tried calling back and had at least 2 or 3 different pre-recorded messages prompting me to select certain number, but none of the number prompts indicated my dietician's name only lists of different doctors and nurse practitioners. I was either left on hold or when I did speak to someone, they said they had to transfer me over to the right department. I then got the same automated voice mail. I left a message, but I don't think it will be returned as the voice mail message did not indicate whether you could leave a message for dietician referrals. I spent half a morning trying to look up online and see if there was an email or other way of contacting. Very frustrating. This should not be so hard. An automated message with the dietician's name and direct number link would really help to fix the problem.

I have nothing against the nurses here, my dad used to a wonderful nurse practioner (Sandra i believe)until she left. Now he sees Dr. Jamieson...or should I say he DOESN'T ever see her as she can't be bothered. No calls when she was supposed to. He has to keep calling there. He was diagnosed as having cancer...at health science centre where we took him when he was in immense pain. Now he has to call and chase answers for his treatments. I think this is ridiculous. Not impressed at all.

Unfortunately you have to give at least 1 star. This woman is toxic DO NOT USE ....should you want any info on her feel free to contact me, I can testify to her lack of professionalism and I truly believe she hates men due to her own life experience. Fathers dont have many options and just want to see their kids and ignore the warning signs that she clearly displays. There is a reason she insists on no recording of visits so you cant prove she is not telling the truth. Every post you read on this site is only the tip of the iceberg

Went here 2 weeks ago for pain in my ribs after a really bad chest infection. Was given a doctors note and told I have tissue strain and mildly bruised ribs and was told to come in the following week if pain is the same. So I went again last week. The NP I saw was incredibly rude, refused to listen to what I had to say and ignored the fact I had a note from them the last visit. Took a stethoscope and looked at my chest for MY CHEST INFECTION, said it was gone, gave me a prescription for something I don’t need and told me it’s not his job to tell me not to lift anything heavy and to go somewhere else. Tried speaking with someone in charge and have been completely ignored. Horrible place, go literally anywhere else if you want to be listened to instead of rushed out of the room as fast as possible.
