Coast guard station

These guys came out yesterday to help me out with an issue under the lions gate. These folks were fast, professional and there when we needed them.Thanks for being ready!

We hit a rock and the boat we were in was disabled. We were in very rough water and drifted to shore very quickly. The coast guard was called and they picked us up as soon as possible and brought us in. We arrived at the station and the crew was very nice, making sure we were all safe, giving us blankets and hot chocolate and making sure we were all good. We very much appreciated the service.

This blue building and its benches are so beautiful that I often go there. On a sunny day, I recommend you to spend some time sitting on the bench, feeling the breeze.

On 2/23/22 and again on 2/24/22 I called the only listed number for the Bellingham, WA Coast Guard station at least two dozen separate times. There has been a persistent busy signal EVERY TIME over the last two days. If this had been an emergency the local CG would have been of no help. I finally called a regional CG office in California to report the problem, and they said that they would look into it. Hopefully this will be corrected. Too bad that one star is the lowest available rating on reviews,. Has the CG been defunded ??

My gratitude to the good fellows aboard the Cape Dundas. On Sunday, August 16, 2015, my 32' boat ran out of fuel on the Detroit River, east of the Ambassador Bridge. The crew of Cape Dundas quickly arrived on the scene, and made sure my wife and I were OK. As we began drifting close to the Detroit shoreline, they began using the propwash of the Dundas to help keep us offshore. They repeated this process a number of times until a towboat arrived to take us in for fuel.We are extremely grateful to the Canadian Coast Guard, and in particular the crew of the Cape Dundas for their unsolicited response, outstanding professionalism and quick thinking Our afternoon might have otherwise turned out quite differently,Frank SoosVermilion, Ohio
