So many wonderful programs and support for our community. I'm so proud to be part of a community that embraces culture and the rich history of the indigenous people.

Covid Testing Review - Well organized inside, a bit confusing on which door to go to to get in, signs are very unclear. You go to the east door in the back to get in (opposite from Main St). All doors are locked, a security guard will let you in. They take every precaution when you go in. All chairs were frequently wipped down after use, everyone social distanced, none of your personal items (medical card) are handled by hand. Staff are very polite and professional. Was there for maybe 10 minutes in and out.Proceedure:You go in the back door and they ask you to come and stand on a circle. They request your medical card and give you an information packet on how to check your results. I was asked to sit down, and in a few minutes I was called in. There are small divided cubicals, two staff (one to do the swab and another at the computer taking information) ask standard questions, your name, your birthday, your address (if memory serves) and ask you to read out the numbers on your heath card. They explain what they're going to do, and asked if I was okay. The actual swab took 10 seconds, it was uncomfortable but not painful. My eyes watered and it burned slightly after, but nothing terrible, no worse than having a dry nose after a cold. After they point out the website where you can view your results on the page they gave you when you walked in, tell you to go straight home and stay there until you get your results, and tell you which door to exit. Word of advise though - bring kleenex with you when you go get tested, your nose will run all day after.

I wouldn't suggest heading down there right now for anything other than a COVID test. That being said, it's probably one of the quickest testing sites in the city.

INDIGENOUS INNOVATIONS YVR
Indigenous Innovations have been doing a great deal to help those living in the DTES. I've had the pleasure of working with the owner/founder John Su and I know first hand how hardworking and supportive he is in seeing others succeed. Him and his team is changing the DTES little by little and I can't wait to see all the wonderful things Indigenous Innovations will achieve. Thanks for you work, Indigenous Innovations!

Disappointed with this group for various reasons. The inability to speak to someone and return phone calls to lack of clear direction as an organization.
