Fairground

An extremely large property with multiple open-space buildings that can be closed off or opened up depending on the usage. Each building has water and electricity but no washrooms for public usage. However, portable washrooms are generally available when events are held.These buildings and property are generally used to house the Barrie Fair. Carnival rides/games and various food trucks/venues are brought to the area and usually run in August from Thursday to Sunday.Along with the normal carnival items, there are craft shows, animal shows, live music, and other entertainment. There are also awards given to various themed events; art, photography, gardening, animals, etc.I was only here for the Barrie Fair during this time thus that's all I can truly review on. But it was entertaining and enjoyable with a great venue with lots of space.

What an awesome experience! There were so many vendors, exhibits and shows that I plan to return for the 2020 fair to see it all again!Happy 75th Anniversary!Bring on the new rides, new shows and a beautiful sunny weekend!

We went to see a band a few weekends ago. The music was good. They make strong drinks. The interior was dark and definitely needs updating, but overall a nice evening

Kids had a great time, plenty of rides and their dj and clown show was amazing. So much fun. It was a good value for our money, we easily spent 5 hours there. Rides seemed strong enough for adults as well and line ups were going fast enough.

Grounds were well kept, security was firm yet polite on where and where not to go (sacred grounds).

Carny food is the best. Colossal onion is da bomb. Corn dogs are amazing. Chuckwagons and Indian relay race are the highlight of evening.

LOVED THAT PLACE! So much to see and do! Loved the various exhibits and band playing was good! Great grounds! Looking forward to enroll in some categories of the various competitions. Let's revive this old-time tradition!

The Saanich Fall Fair is back in full swing. The ginormous Kidz Zone tent is back. Lots to do and see!
