Forward Riding School
Fantastic instructor. Maxine is patient with new riders and helps their confidence. The horses are perfect... just challenging enough to keep the rider engaged. Super recommend the school and Maxine.

This is a fantastic place to learn to ride and love horses! I have taken lessons at other stables in NS however never seemed to feel like I was getting very far in my abilities nor that the instruction was focused enough . Amanda the owner/instructor is so passionate about her love for horses and she is really focused on ensuring your learning experience is positive, safe, and thorough. You can tell her heart and soul are into her horses and she works hard to ensure you learn a lot and that you retain it so you can enjoy horses as much as she does. Her prices are very reasonable as an added bonus. I highly recommend this place to any student of any age or experience level!

Amazing experience! What a great time we had. My kids were terrified of the animals before and after one session with Sue, they were in love with the horses and the ponies. It’s a great place to enjoy the nature and the whole family is so friendly and great with kids. We can’t wait to go back.

On the Forest Boarding
We recently moved to Canada and my wife was looking for a place to continue her riding passion. We visited some stables and, though all were good, the second we entered the OTFB barn we knew; THIS IS THE PLACE. The owners, Margot, Sarah and Evelyn, were so welcoming and the people riding there equally so. My wife felt right at home and started riding the same week. Never looked back!
