Canadian restaurant

Just had a Mother’s Day meal here. The service was really, really bad. The drinks were slow arriving. The food was really, really slow. And the price of the meal was outrageous (!!) for what we got.The food was actually quite good, however.This used to be a favourite spot of mine in Medicine Hat. I honestly will not choose to go here again.Too bad…

We had a fantastic time here when we visited in June. We started with the mussels, which were delicious in a wine & garlic cream sauce, and I had the seafood fettucine, which had a similar flavor and was also wonderful. We were debating on a white wine, and the server (who we later learned was one of the owners) brought us some to try before we decided on a bottle which was great. We were there until closing but didn't feel rushed at all, and we had a great conversation with one of the owners. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

I like Ben he good guy. I'm not sure I if I order correctly but what was brought to me was amazing. Unfortunately when I go to take big photographs of my food camera fell in food. That my fault and my wife laugh at me. Licking the food off my phone was OK because the food was awesome

Very nice staff and good food.3.5 rating for us but since google doesn’t have half ratings well round it up.We had the tourtiere St Jean and doré fish.

The food is amazing, the prices aren't too expensive considering the size of the portions, and the service is very friendly! The restaurant is also nicely decorated. The staff really respect the health safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, so there is nothing to worry about with that aspect.

Great coffee, food as it should be at a greasy spoon. Service is good and very clean. Will be returning. If you haven’t visited a greasy spoon for awhile. Try it out

I have done take out a couple of times. Not impressed. My crispy calamari was greasy and soggy. I could not eat. Then I ordered a large fry for $9 and the container was only half full and not enough for 2 people. Taste was good but very expensive for what I relieved.

Love the place, I have eaten here before and have had a wonderful experience in the past. Their appetizers are an absolute delight to explore. This time around, I got the daily special (a smoked burger)... presentation is 5/5. Soup and tarts, amazing. However, in spite of the Class 1 - A 1 presentation, upon taking a bite of the burger, it turned out pretty undercooked. As expected from the establishments superior customer service, the waiter addressed the matter expertly and immediately, providing various solutions to the problem... ultimately, the burger was waived from my bill.Honestly it pains me not to give this establishment a 5/5 overall review based on my previous experiences...will most certainly drop by again and update the rating accordingly.

An amazing experience from beginning to end. I’ve never been to a restaurant with such diligent front of house. It’s like magic when you turn around and realize your glass has been refilled or that your napkin has been folded neatly for you. Given their reputation it’s still a surprise.The food is also really good and a good balance of comfort and original. The pigeon was essentially Korean fried chicken and the lemon meringue pie is classic. Speaking of which the food here is a bit acidic, but I prefer that! The torched scallops were platted like ceviche and was a great start. The complimentary cheese bread with smoked butter and the wedge salad were highlights. The wild rice with the wedge salad made it the standout dish by far, followed closely by the ravioli. 4-6 dishes should do it for 2 people.Excited to try the other menu items!
