Historic Stewart Farm
A beautiful heritage home in a peaceful pastoral setting. The home tour gives us a glimpse into the lives of our predecessors. One can tour the barn, see the garden and take a lovely walk along the river.

Gaspesie Museum
Good place to explore the history of the area and different cultures and how they are evolved, their initial struggles etc.Due to covid they managed very well, not a lot of people at a time at one place. Sanitizers and gloves provided on spot.

Old Fort Erie
Thanks so much Ethan for our guided tour! My husband and I were the only ones and he did a great job giving us the history and insight into the daily lives of soldiers during the War of 1812. He really knows his stuff! It was really interesting seeing inside the Fort and taking a look at the artefacts. The musket firing and shortbread cookies were a great hit too ;) Guided tours run every hour. Highly recommend for those wanting more information on Niagara’s involvement and history of the War of 1812. Be sure to take a look through the welcome centre museum. Ice cream and very reasonably priced food available too!

Sombra Museum
This was the first visit to Sombra Museum and truly enjoyed it. Although it is not the Smithsonian Institute, for a small village it is a good little Museum. There is a lot of St. Clair River items and the house that we were given a personal tour by the curator was extremely interesting. They have a few items which I have never before seen. Recommend a visit.

Really enjoyed this great little town. Lots to see, great restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops. The fort is a must see. Very educational and an important part of history in British Columbia.
