Great online classes helping me improve my Portuguese.The virtual classroom is interactive and user-friendly and my native and experienced teacher new exactly when you push me and when to help me. Looking forward to further lessons!

Really recommend the immigration interview prep course, helped me a lot when preparing for the interview. We went through a lot of questions on the culture and value. The teachers also helped me to speak French in a more natural way.

I highly recommend Naoko Sensei as a Japanese teacher. She helped me improve my Japanese language skills so much. Within a year I felt a lot more comfortable and confident with speaking and having conversations in Japanese.

I came to Berlitz to improve my French always struggling to learn languages in a group setting. I am thankful for Silvio the corp sales director's patience, charisma for helping students like me succeed. I liked the options given to me after my assessment prior to signing. We looked at group lessons and one on one where it was deemed one on one would benefit me the most.I had amazing teachers who TRULY helped me reach the next level (Thank you Jean Philippe and Capucine). I have opened more doors for work opportunities landing a new job with one of Canada's biggest telecom companies.I would recommend Berlitz to anyone wanting to learn or sharpen what they know in English or French. But you must be serious and expose yourself to the language outside of class post-lessons if it is French or English which is very easy living in Quebec. The teachers are amazing as is their CS whenever questions, obstacles arise. Thank you Silvio and the Berlitz team for everything I would definitely come back to sharpen my French further for the higher levels to land higher work positions.

I’m going to be honest I wouldn’t recommend Berlitz to anyone. There are languages schools in Calgary taught by native speakers that have undergone vigorous training. Berlitz are just a group of languge speakers who have been given a platform.Wanna learn French go see Alliance Française.There are so many better programs even cheaper.

I'm around half way through the course and it's great so far! I'm loving it very much. The classroom facility is super nice and the teacher is amazing and makes the class setting a very comfortable and open environment for learning. She makes classes super fun, with helpful visuals, and moves at a very appropriate pace for a beginner, such as myself, learning Japanese for the first time. I also found the online materials extremely helpful too, as I was able to catch up on classes that I was unable to attend, and rewatch videos if there was something from the class I needed a reminder on, or look ahead at the material that would be covered in the next lesson. Highly recommend this course to anyone! So glad I enrolled!!!

I've been taking Japanese classes with Yoko Maruyama from the beginning. I really enjoy her classes and the structure of it. I think taking classes with a real Japanese instructor is really important for a language like Japanese, which is very different than English. Her online classes have a good amount of listening and speaking practice, which you don't get from some apps. The road for learning Japanese is long, but is also very fun and rewarding if you stick to it. Give it a try with Yoko!

My general experience was very disappointing. I reached out to find a French class, I did the placing test , I payed and after they told me that there are no classes for my level, I am still waiting for my reimbursement. Overall it was terrible since the beginning. For starters ñ, it was very hard to reach someone, once I did I kept telling him to call me directly but he preferred the communication by email because I never received a call. Also, they don’t have a price list, all the prices were communicated by email, which I find very sketchy since they can give you any price and it’s expensive. It took more than a month to arrange everything, back and forth emails for a month, for nothing. And I am still dedicating time since I am still waiting for my reimbursement.

I took a French course through Berlitz online and found the instructor, Laurent, to be excellent. He challenged me through the learning material and method used. It was a fascinating course in which I increased fluency as well as knowledge of art, culture, and literature in diverse areas of the world.Later, I began Korean online, and once again have an excellent instructor, Eun Gyeong, who has tailor made the course to meet my way of learning. I’m continuing as I’d like to become fluent in this language.Domingo, the Director of Berlitz Calgary, has put me in touch with these two instructors who excel in teaching language. I couldn’t be happier.

Great opportunity to learn a language (especially for speaking practice), with excellent, friendly instructors and staff. The level to which I advanced has not matched the length of the course book, which I initially thought it would. But, quality of learning is paramount. If you want to change a class time, make sure you do it by 3pm the day BEFORE the class you want to change to allow the Berlitz instructors and administrators enough time to re-arrange the schedule. In summary, follow the class re-scheduling policies!
